Point Defiance Park is located in Tacoma, Washington. It is a large urban park with miles of trails and beaches, old growth forest, a zoo, along with numerous other features. I took an afternoon and took a walk along one of the circumference trails, a trip of a few miles around. The trails are very well maintained, along with pretty well used, so this may not be your cup of tea if you want no one around. Once you leave this park you exit straight into an urban area, so many people from the cities of Tacoma, University Place, and Ruston come and use this park and enjoy it. Either way, it is well worth a visit.
