This hike was up to the Dosewallips Campground and Ranger Station in Olympic National Park. It follows an old washed out forest service road, which eventually heads into Olympic National Park. The road was washed out in 2002, about a mile from the road closed sign, and never rebuilt. The total hike was about 13 miles round trip, so takes most of the day to complete. Total time was about six and a half hours on this trip.

The hike is is not incredibly difficult, other than the distance. Over the approximate six miles to the top, it is only about 1,200 feet of altitude gain. Compared to the 2,000 feet over 2.5 miles at the nearby Mount Walker, it is not horrible. There are a few steep parts, especially near the end (about 3/4 of a mile from the campground), but is relatively level or a slight gradual incline.
