This trip to Seaquest State Park, we did it over Fourth of July weekend 2022. We decided to book a different site this time that was a lot more level than our last site in 2021. The problem with it though is that you are staked in pretty close, and we were right across from the camp host site so we got a lot of foot and vehicle traffic. In future years, I think we should book along the edges in a level site, or in another loop with partial hookups (no sewer).

Otherwise, it was a good trip. We drove out to Johnson Ridge one of the days, and it was somewhat dissapointing. It was in the afternoon and typical Washington, there was still a hearty marine layer that never really burned off till Monday (the fourth). That being said, you could not really see the full mountain, only a good chunk of it. But, still was fun driving out there.

We also did a few stops out there at different viewpoints and at the A-frame house that got buried by the lahar flows of Mt. Saint Helens. This house in the past few years seems to have deteriorated a lot, I don’t think it has more than a few more years of standing. Oh well…

Of course I forgot my good camera on this trip, so all these pictures were taken on a disposable camera I got from a nearby Target. That explains the quality, I may eventually edit them and clean them up some but have not yet (yes, including the few thumb shots!). Of course there is no more one hour photo, so it took a while in-between the mailing back and fourth and processing.
